B-SERIES
CONDENSING UNITS
Master-Bilt offers its most complete refrigeration units
in the built-up B-series. These condensing units, factory
assembled on a galvanized steel channel leg base, are
available from 3 to 40 H.P. Because components are
pre-wired and factory mounted, field installation time
is minimal. Field installation requires connections
for electrical supply and refrigeration lines, evacuation
and charging only. Built-up B- series units are available
in hermetic, compliant scroll and semi-hermetic compressor
models, with or without matching evaporator coils.

M-SERIES
CONDENSING UNITS
Master-Bilt's
M-series is very similar to the B-series in components
and options. However, M series models are specially
designed to function in high ambient temperatures. As with
the B series, components are pre-wired and factory mounted.
M series units are also available in hermetic, compliant
scroll and semi-hermetic compressor models, with or
without matching evaporator coils. They are factory
assembled on a galvanized steel angle leg base, and
range from 1/2 to 6 H.P.

PRS-2 SERIES PACKAGED REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
The PRS-2 series combines a condensing unit and evaporator coil into one unit with everything ready to
mount on the top or side of your Master-Bilt
walk-in cooler or freezer. In fact, most indoor units come
with a power cord so the unit can be plugged in. |

|
PRS-2 units are available with stock PRS-2 walk-in sizes for five day shipment.
Single or multiple units can also be specified for customized walk-ins with
standard lead times.
Other standard features of PRS-2 walk-in refrigeration systems include:
- High efficiency fan motors
- Condensate evaporator pan on indoor units to eliminate the need for a drain line
- An evaporator section that mounts flush in a standard four-inch thick ceiling panel allowing maximum storage space.

MRS SERIES MODULAR MULTI-COMPRESSOR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
By remoting all refrigeration systems in their establishments, including those in reach-ins,
walk-ins and ice machines, to a single MRS system, business owners can remove the heat produced by multiple refrigeration systems from
their kitchen or store and reduce their air conditioning load.
|
This outside system, typically roof-mounted, also reduces noise level and
extends the life of equipment.
The modular design of the unit also safeguards against catastrophic failure, should a section of the
condenser be damaged.
Each MRS system is composed of individual modules.
Each module includes a compressor with refrigeration components pre-piped to its own modular condenser.
The MRS can house up to 16 modules. MRS units are pre-wired to an electrical
panel for one-point connection. The compactly stacked condenser modules are
designed for 110ºF temperatures but are also protected in cold weather
conditions by integrated low ambient components, including head masters and
crankcase heaters. The system’s galvanized steel housing (stainless steel finish available) provides
further
protection from the elements.
The MRS allows modules to be pre-piped to
a central location area. The single roof penetration point reduces installation
costs and chances of roof leakage. Because all the refrigeration components are
housed in one unit, the system is also easier to service.

DRS SERIES DUAL-COMPRESSOR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS
For applications calling for only a two-compressor system, the DRS series is the answer.
A complement to the MRS series, DRS models share many of the same quality construction and features as well as fitting the same range of
applications in hotels, c-stores, QSRs and cafeterias
|
DRS systems feature:
- Multi-circuited condenser coil designed for 110°F ambient
- Scroll compressors for freezer applications up to 5 HP
- Hermetic compressors for cooler applications up to 3 HP
- Common base and frame assembly
- Standard galvanized finish with optional stainless steel finish
As with the MRS series, the Master Controller and reverse cycle defrost are options.

PS SERIES
MULTI-COMPRESSOR PARALLEL REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS |
 |
|
A parallel system, often referred to as a "distributed"
system, is a multiple compressor refrigeration unit piped in parallel to yield
smooth capacity control as compared to a single compressor unit. A parallel
system can be located in a back room or on a roof in close proximity to
refrigeration equipment for reduced piping.
PS series systems match refrigeration capacity to your actual
load and can yield savings of 20% or more over a single compressor unit. |
|
Master-Bilt PS series parallel units use
scroll compressors for the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly
system. PS units, matched to an appropriate condenser, are modular and allow you
to add or change compressors as needed. The standard rack housing and frame is
made of durable galvanized steel with stainless steel as an option. |
 |
|
PS systems save substantially over single
compressor systems and are designed to conserve energy in other ways as well:
-
The lead compressor is a digital scroll
which better matches capacity needs and provides a 3% energy saving over
standard parallel units
-
Subcooling increases refrigerant
efficiency on low temp applications by approximately 17%
-
Optional heat reclaim increases energy
efficiency by reclaiming waste heat from the condenser
-
Optional gas defrost increases energy
efficiency by using waste heat for defrost
The PS series also features an electronic
controller unit that can interface into existing building controls and offers
several other advantages:
-
The ability to incorporate HACCP
recording and monitoring of system features
-
Remote communications
-
Alarm features
-
A diagnostic feature that reports
temperatures, pressures and failure alarms as well as trending of these
readings that can be used to predict maintenance needs
PS systems are also highly reliable because
multiple compressors ensure sufficient capacity to handle refrigeration loads.
Reduced component wear and fewer refrigerant leaks also make the PS series a
dependable choice.

| E-SERIES
EVAPORATOR COILS
E-series evaporator coils are ready to mount in position
and are available in either air (off cycle) or electric
defrost. Each is also
furnished with a properly sized
expansion valve and room thermostat. Electric
defrost models feature defrost termination-fan
delay controls
and drain line heaters.
