Split-Pak™ Remote Refrigeration Systems

Remote refrigeration systems

Split-Pak remote refrigeration systems consist of condensing units and evaporator coils designed for use in walk-in coolers and freezers.

Condensing units feature a condenser coil, compressor, receiver tank and other components assembled on a shared base.

Remote condensing units are located away from walk-ins, frequently outside a building or on a roof. A remote location allows the heat produced from the system to be released outside without increasing temperatures and air conditioning load inside a building.

Master-Bilt designs Split-Pak condensing units to function in high-temperature environments with a standard weather hood to protect from the elements. All components are pre-wired and factory mounted. Compressor choices include hermetic (compressor and motor sealed inside one housing) and compliant scroll (two interleaving scrolls compressing refrigerant contained inside). Freezer applications using six HP and above units feature the LogiTemp® electronic controller system.

Split-Pak evaporator coils, or unit coolers, are typically mounted inside the walk-in cooler or freezer. Their primary purpose is to blow cold air inside the walk-in and keep stored products cool.

Evaporator coils are ready to mount in position on a walk-in and are available with air (off cycle) defrost, electric defrost or optional reverse cycle defrost when equipped with the LogiTemp® Plus With Reverse Cycle Defrost system.
